MANSFIELD, Mass. – Junior Chris Starcun (Easthampton, Mass.) earned his second straight Northeast-10 Weekly Honor Roll nod on the week nine report as announced by the league office earlier today.
Starcun batted .529 (9-for-17) for the second consecutive week while adding a .600 on-base percentage and a .824 slugging percentage. He raised his overall average by 37 points over the course of the week and has now hit safely in nine consecutive games.
The junior went 3-for-4 while belting his fourth homer of the year, good for tied-second in the NE-10, during a loss to Saint Rose on Wednesday before closing the week strong with a 4-for-6 day at the dish in a pair of games against No. 10 Southern New Hampshire.
Starcun's .358 average paces the team and is now good for eighth in the league while his nine-game hit streak is a new career-high.
AIC returns to action as they close out a six-game home stand with a single contest on Wednesday afternoon against Merrimack at 3:30 p.m.
