5 AP Athletes Named to WMass Baseball Super-7

Nick Dombkowski, West Springfield - Junior struck out 66 batters in 61 innings and won his first five decisions at the top of the Terriers rotation. Struck out nine Chicopee Comp batters in a shutout win in the Western Mass. Division I playoffs.

Nate Florence, Minnechaug - Senior University of Hartford commit rebounded from a slow start by winning his next six starts en route to a 6-2 record with 59 strikeouts in 46 2/3 innings. Struck out a season-high 12 and allowed one hit in six innings against Chicopee Comp in the regular season finale.

Jake Goodreau, Southwick - Senior Boston College commit hit .306/.482/.452 with 24 RBIs (third in Division III) and 18 walks in 62 at-bats, all while representing a strong defensive presence behind the dish for the Rams. Aiming for another strong start after shining in last year's season-opening win over Division I Minnechaug.

Conor Moriarty, West Springfield - Senior University of Connecticut commit hit .358/.517/.507 with 31 runs scored and 22 walks over 67 at-bats and played a smooth shortstop. Had seven multi-hit games and reached base in the first 13 games of the season. Drew four walks in a game on three separate occasions.

Brett Morrison, Hopkins - Senior Fairfield University commit hit .379/.514/.552 in 37 plate appearances in 2015, with injuries cutting his season short. With the injuries behind him, Morrison could find a new position in 2016 after playing second base a year ago.

Logan Rumbolt, Drury - Senior shortstop hit .508/.595/.754 with nearly one run for every hit, with 31 runs scored on 33 hits. Went a combined 6-for-6 with six runs, two RBIs, a walk and a HBP in two games against Saint Joseph. Had 12 multi-hit games.

Kyle Trombley, Minnechaug - Senior centerfielder hit .347/.434/.569 with three home runs from atop the Falcons lineup. Multi-tool, multi-sport athlete features some of the best speed in the region and covers a lot of ground with a good glove in centerfield.
