13u/14u Fall Baseball Program

This program is specifically designed for athletes participating in their 1st or 2nd year on the 90' diamond in order to maximize repetitions as well as gain more in-game experience. Players will be placed onto teams of 12-players where they will compete week to week against other teams within the program in a 10-game schedule. Aside from in-game competition, the athletes will have the ability to train on the 90' diamond with the AP coaching staff made up of all former and current collegiate/professional players and coaches before each game.

High School Fall Baseball

This Program is designed around skill development for our High School Baseball Athletes. The program is run on Sunday's only at 1:30PM. Each week, athletes will get quality repetitions at their position(s) during a pro workout as well as compete in live situations. Athletes will also have the opportunity to hit on Wednesday's during the fall with AP's Director of Player Development Peter Fatse as they will review both swing mechanics and team hitting concepts.

Weighted Baseball Velocity & Strength Training

This program is designed for players ages 14+ to develop an optimal arm path, correct throwing mechanics, arm strength and velocity. This program will run three times per week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from September 18th-December 4th. This program is designed for both position players and pitchers. Our goal is to develop a professional level work ethic within all of the participants. We will use "Driveline Baseball" weighted baseball programming. Driveline is at the forefront of the weighted baseball industry, with consistent research and information that is updated regularly to better serve the athletes.

 

Strength Training:

Advanced Performance Academy will combine a strength training program for each athlete that participates. The strength program coupled with weighted baseball training will give players the necessary tools to take their game to the next level. This program will develop overall strength as well as the necessary strength to handle the stress of throwing the baseball with more velocity.

This 5-week development program is geared towards giving our younger athletes repetitions during the fall months. With an emphasis on skill development, athletes will receive a number of practice and live repetitions during drill and simulated game work.

13U Prep Team Program Details

Our 13U Prep Team is a developmental program to help players transition from the 70’ diamond to the 90’ diamond.  Through the combined years of baseball experience at Advanced Performance Academy, we as former players and now coaches find this transition to be one of the biggest for young players. Our concentration will be on developing the correct baseball knowledge. Building players from the ground up, teaching them the many aspects of the game while maintaining a fun baseball environment. Each player will undergo an evaluation detailed below. 

Evaluation Highlights

 Each athlete will complete a series of performance test to determine baseline athletic measurements for speed, agility and strength.

Advanced Performance Academy will use this evaluation to build its first ever 13U Team. As mention, our goal is build players from the ground up and develop their skills with proper technique and the fundamentals of the baseball at the forefront.

  1. Strength, Speed & Agility: Focusing on building strength, first step reaction time, quickness, lateral movement and change of direction as well as baseball specific conditioning.
  2. Fundamentals: Teaching the proper mechanics of swinging, fielding, running and throwing
  3. Pitchers: Building off the fundamentals, players will learn the importance of Fastball command, change of speeds, control of the running game/pickoffs and fielding the position    
  4. Hitters: Pre-pitch routine, situational hitting, two-strike approaches, bunting and the running the bases properly

AP Academy Youth Baseball Camp (Week 2)

The AP Youth Baseball Camp (Week-2) is designed to work off of many concept that were created in Week-1. While we will continue to reinforce these techniques and concepts, we will put these skills into use in more game-like simulation. Let our expert coaching staff help build your game today!

  • Speed and Agility: Focusing on building first step reaction time and quickness, lateral movement and change of direction as well as baseball specific conditioning.
  • Infielders: Backhands, slow roller, short-hop reads, double play turns/feeds                           
  • Outfielders: Line drive reads, corrective turns/routes, attacking groundballs with proper angles
  • Catchers: Throwing to bases, footwork and exchanges, fielding bunts, pop ups and plays at the plate
  • Pitchers: Fastball command, execution of secondary pitches, control of the running game/pickoffs and fielding the position
  • Hitters: Pre-pitch routine, situational hitting, two-strike approach and bunting
  • Base running: Straight steal, delay steal and jump starts.

AP Academy Youth Baseball Camp (Week-1)

AP Academy Baseball Camps are built on teaching a strong fundamental base. The Youth Baseball Camp (Week-1) is aimed to provide our campers with the opportunity to train on-field with our coaching staff made up of current and former collegiate and professional players and coaches. This camp is progressive in that it's concepts will build into week-2. While all of our athletes will gain exposure and walk away from the 1-week program better and with more information than when they began, the 2-week program allows for a broader application of the skills they have been exposed to.

  • Speed and Agility Training: Work with our performance staff to increase first step quickness, lateral agility and force output.
  • Infielders/Outfielders/Catchers: Pre-pitch routines, proper positioning, footwork and fundamentals.
  • Pitchers: Throwing/arm-care program designed to promote proper mechanics and arm strength along with a breakdown of the pitching motion.
  • Hitters: Swing fundamentals and breakdown from grip to finish with video analysis.
  • Base running fundamentals: Proper running mechanics, primary and secondary leads and how to advance from second and third base.
